timetable says time to study..

YES WE GO OUR TIMETABLES TODAY AND GUESS WHAT!
i have FOUR nineAM slots per week! that is NOT GOOD.
means i have to wake up early. normal people have 2 to 3 nine o clock slots.
well but then again, having early classes means i have the whole afternoon to.. study... and do whatever i want. haha.

tuesdays to thursdays are packed. i start and nine and finish at five plus.. earliest three plus.
i've got good teachers though! i think. havent met all of them yet, but i got the 2 craziest teachers in trinity :) the two that i prayed for! maureen and mary! woohoo!

anyway, school's been slack this week. no sch on mon, no sch on wed, and today, i had 2 crazy lectures. psychology lecture by maureen and accounting lecture by mary. :) and tmr's gonna be a good day too! just one english lecture in the evening.

im gonna start studying already! yeah elisa's in the VROOM VROOM STUDY MODE NOW!!

oh last night, i had dinner with the urbanlife people from planetshakers church. good food, good company :) when lydia, jon,val and i got back to palmerston (at about nine plus..we stopped by a video shop wanting to rent sthg but we needed MEMBERSHIP >.<), we picked out MEAN GIRLS from val's place and gathered people round unit 5 to watch it. haha.. and tonight, it was STARDUST at my unit. but we didn't finish either of the movies because the dvd player played us out. sigh. wdv. still, there was good company! haha (and food). chu pu got us all pizza tonight. it's tough not to put on weight here!

we had so much fun taking pictures and playing in the swings and stuff.. i love good playgrounds. i caught charlene li shan and zelia singing/humming/whistling the AC school song to themselves! uber funny!! looks like they've caught the AC FEVER FROM ELISAAAA!!!
well..our evening at the park ended with zelia having a bad fall. here's the scoop.

you know how some parks have those poles in one straight row that prevent cars from driving in? i tried jumping over one of them (and i did). and this zelia who was equally crazy and high as i was followed suit and TADAA!! now as i retell it, it sounds funny but it wasn't when it was happening. this sweet couple with their little baby in a pram gave us a baby towel to wipe zelia's wounds! not jsut any towel.. it was big and white and made of those fleece-like materials that'd keep a shivering person warm. :) wasn't that beautiful.

two nights ago, i made friends with shereen and ry and had the most awesome time with them! i experienced sthg i never thought/expected to. but the 4 of us, including moonyee of course, chilled out like we'd known each other for so long. we cooked dinner at sher's place. simple, but satisfying!
they let me peel and chop the garlic HAH! (this is the first time i'm cooking! or HELPING rather..)

it was good fun.

this morning, i went to crossculture church and had lunch with pastor v and grace. good food! good ASIAN food. haha i'm not missing it yet, but i enjoyed lunch. then i went to meet the ctss05 people for my second lunch (which was just a slice for pizza and a yummylicious drink--i forgot what it's called. something bitters.) i had a warm and fuzzy feeling, like i did during lunch, of familiarity and the good ol' times. haha.. cheers to debs, shiyou, dianne, collin and johnny!

met 6 other palmerston girls at smith street after that. i was hoping to find a good buy but it's so difficult when you have so much variety and a hand that refuses to let go of money. i think i've got a phobia. like.. i'm trying as hard as possible to not use the cash i have with me because i know that if i run outta cash i have to use an ATM card. and i HATE having to deal with ANYTHING to do with banks. scary stuff. i call it the bankphobia. ok, wake up elisa.. you have to use your card sooner or later.. the money you have is not gonna last for half a year.

no school tmr! no school tmr! nanny-nanny-poo-poo ;)

ah technology fails me again..

so i got my internet fixed for about 4 days and now it's down again. and msn has never seen the face of my laptop.

wynn zelia and lishan made oreo cheesecake today! haha i'm reminded of jon goh and joash (and a certain someone that i love) as i type this. it was GREAT! all the girls at palmerston gathered at our house and chilled out. i had quite a lot of fun.. lotsa laughter definitely. haha.

went for urban life with nick valerie jon and zelia lastnight. debs, shiyou and dyanne were there too. it was great. scott shared his testimony.. twas a very powerful one indeed. glad i went :)

a step at a time

i'm so proud of myself! i managed to make my way to the music conservatorium by myself today. through palmerston street, elgin street, swanston street, grattan street and finally along the royal parade. hahaha.. phew! we had our BIG NOISE workshop there.. it was alright.. music was good, but the people in my group werent very enthusiastic so i guess that played down the FUN FACTOR a bit.

people i hung out with today:
1) i met charlene yesterday. i saw her on the way to the bank so we hung out together till HOI lecture.
2) charlene introduced me to her friend yishen who so happened to be with nick lam! so the 4 of us headed to colege square where nick and yishen stay.
3)nick and i met peiqi outside lyle theatre and went for HOI together.
4) lishan jolene charlene and i are gonna watch DVDs later! lol.
oh and yesterday, jo, lishan and i were painting our nails together in the living room. haha.. i've cleaned it all out today.
yeah so today's been a good day too!! i'd rate it 8/10! weather was so hot and dry though. i think i'm getting tanner. NOT GOOD.

i had a great day today.

mummy and i spent the night at aunty yoke tyng's. i had hot crossed buns for breakfast.. and i'm in love with them! lol.. reminded me of the cinamon and raisin bagels i used to have in starbucks. yum.

i used the com a little this morning till almost lunch time.. then we all headed out to this chinese place for lunch which was really really filling. then dropped by the pharmacy and picked up a pair of sunnies for me and went back to palmerston. the sun here is so strong its not funny.

mummy left after that. just a quick hug.. no naggin or lecturing or anything. i just hope she didn't cry on the plane home.. hahahaha.. i rushed back to the car where aunty yoke tyng was waiting then the two of us left for glenwaverly. she dropped me at city life church. really thank God how the timing for everything went perfectly. :)

i met pastor v too! well i made a couple of new friends.. carmen and serena. (im typing their names here not so that you'll make friends with them, but so that i can refer if ever i forget their names. whahahaha) i went for the BMC gathering at minli's place. i've never spoken much to minli before. she was so quiet before she moved to aussie a year ago, but now she's so much more outspoken which is really good! hahaha.. there were a lot of familiar people there. aunty elanore, alyssa, amanda, uncle chee keong, aunty emily, minli, min en, aunty nancy, yihui... well.. a bulk of them i've seen before but never really talked to. but it was great cause everyone just mixed around like it was home. sometimes i wish mummy and daddy had a caregroup too.. owell.

ok it's one thirty in the morning i think i'd better get some rest cause im meeting zelia tmr morning. her mm and the two of us are going to DFOs tmr.

adjusting

you have no idea how i missed sch last night. i kept recalling the love/retreat rehearsal and wishing i was at love/retreat!! hope it went well :) oh and i've also been singing the sch song a lot. heh.

we're still having introductory lectures and stuff and sch doesnt officially start till the 29th.
mum's going back to singapore today. i should be fine...... right? yeah.

i cant access the internet/msn from my computer right nnow and im just so thankful to be able to use aunty yoke tyng's com today. mum and i came here for the night. she lives in another zone though so its not really convenient to travel from palmerston to here.

i've settled down in my own room already.. it's a bright and cheery room..made even brighter and cheerier by the farewell gifts and notes. :) i've got 5 other hosemates. wynn and abi on the top floor, lishan zelia and i on the second and joleen on the first. jo and lishan are from malaysia and they're pretty easy to get along with. lishan's been a great help.. it's like she give you the feeling that if you ever need help just look for her. she's been here since jan.. so she knows tons and tons of other people.. so do wynn and abigail who joined the january intake.

valentines day wasn't very much live v day. i saw guys carrying bouquets of roses on the streets..was so sweet but that was about it. yeni was complaining about not having anyone to spend valentines with this year.. haha. yeni's changed so much since the last time i had a proper chat with her years back. sometimes it's like having to make friends with her again.

i think i'll be taking english, history of ideas (both compulsory subjects), plus psychology, accounting and maths1 as electives.

i'm still adjusting to the people here. its really different, more diverse than i thought,not as easy as i expected. then again, i think i'm not being as open as i was in ac. well see how things go!! :))

yeah i've packed my room and settled in already..
you know, i never thought i'd ever say this, but a tiny part of me is already missing school.
it's been so quiet here.. i met a few people, but hardly got to talk to them a lot, cept for vanessa who was from st nicks. yeah.
im using zelia's com now cause my internet's down.

it's too quiet here for my liking at the moment. i hope things get bussier and more happening real soon because when it's so quiet i think of AC. i think i got kinda attached to that place.. or rather the people there.

and to everyone to came down to the airport.. the AH AC and BMC people.. i love you all!! :))
