please, not friday!

one of the only times the term "thank God it's friday" (TGIF) doesn't make sense is when you're in your last few days of the holidays and the friday before term starts is approaching.

last july was a drag. i spent so much time watching nonsense and feeling emo-ish. i don't really know how that happened. but it did.

this july went by way too quickly.
goldcoast was great - much to do with the company of the kensington group.
i also went to philip island and back, with meals lasting hours.

dong and i went to fruits of passion for brunch today. i really enjoy going for brunches with him. we also went to babka's for brunch on tuesday. that was yummy.

watching him being anxious was quite an interesting experience. i think dong is easily the most organised packer i know. im kinda quite the opposite. haha. can't wait for him to land. faster!

heaven?

may not be the best example to give at this moment.
but leaving for sg's kinda like "going to heaven".
you dont wanna leave. there's sadness coming from the detachment from a second home, from people, achievements associated with that piece of land, and other things you treasure. similarly, dying is parting with many things you treasure too.

but there's so much in store in sg. a fresh start.
build something new.
it's gonna be good.
and you're gonna like it before you know it :)

blog headings

"i love cheesecake" was so that random people would randomly know that i love cheesecake, typed in hope that someone would get me a slice. hahahaha.

"more than the laughter or lights".. well i was feeling melancholic. it was about how (romantic) love is not dependent on whether the person's a great joker, or if he can surprise you with nice sparkly things.. thie blog title was supposed to be longer. but that's all i can remember.

foundations - i am reminded once again that the next one and a half years are really crucial for how i live the next phase of my life. these years of foundation building are more significant than im usually aware of. the habits i form, the values i keep, my priorities etc. hopefully i don't spend too much of this time on fluff.

other circle

i am sleepy. 7.33 am on a cold winter morning. gonna head over to arrow in a bit to meet tim, chris, kel and gav.

been one whole semester since i last spoke to tim and i gotta say again that it is refreshing.

you always need people from another circle who can inspire and refresh.
