Australian Football League

i went to my first footy game with gav on saturday. the picture's blurry because i took a photo of the picture on my phone. caleb didn't pass me the cable for transferring stuff from phone to laptop.
gav and i got lost looking for the ticket counter - make that the ONLY ticket booth which had any tickets left. the Melbourne Cricket Ground was PACKED (and huge). i was worried we wouldn't get tickets cause they were selling out fast, and gav said that the only tickets we'd probably be able to get wouldn't get us a good view of the game anymore.
see the two aussie guys in the picture? they overheard gav say "argh, i should have gotten the tickets online shouldn't i.."
the next thing that happened was a really big pleasant surprise. the two guys approached us and offerred us two free tickets! funnily enough, one of them supported collingwood and the other, hawthorn - just like gav and i. haha.
it just gets better. we got really good SEATS. we didn't have to stand. and we were right opposite the screen, so we caught every bit of detail that went on on the opposite end of the ground.
collingwood polarises the people in victoria. you either love a collingwood fan or hate a colingwood fan. haha. they have a history of being a champion team or sthg like that. i thnk whatever gav tells me would be biased towards collingwood. anyway, it was an extremely tight game.
did i say it gets better? yeah it does. hawthorn won by just 3 points! woohoo. make that a perfect first game! free tickets, new friends, winning team! steve and i were cheering and high fiving each other throughout the game, the victory made my throat hurt till the next day.
