my 'hood

I'm not sure what i'd say about living/working/eating/sleeping/breathing in Arrow in 6 months time.. but for now, it certainly does feel like I've got friends all around. Walk into the lift, chat with the maintenance guy, or someone who had popped by Toastbar, or closing up late at night and having the new security guard ask if i'd like help bringing in the street signage.. i suppose when relationships around are rich, i dont feel the need to go out as much.


Bible study with erica on wednesday morning was refreshing too. perhaps leaving arrow on a bright sunshiney morning to have breakfast at Exploration lane did feel like quite an adventure! haha..

Friday arvo passed by really quickly. after closing Toastbar i headed up to meet Tim cause I missed prayer meeting. ended up chatting till we were both quite hungry and went for lunch (at both momo sushi & Middle fish) so that took us till past 4pm haha.. usually conversations with Tim are quite intense. this time was surprisingly slightly less, which felt like we were friends. I made this comment to Gav and he just laughed.

anyway, the other thing im quite happy about is my switch from vodafone to amaysim. haha tim recommended it cause it's got a 39.90 unlimited national calls and text. i must also say that their customer service is exceptional. unfortunately i can't call overseas anymore because i'll need a separate top-up for that.

Toastbar's inaugural Open Mic Friday started this week as well. Kerri and her team came down and carried us through the night. Charles and Josh pui went up as well. The ambience at Toastbar just completely changed with Live Music. I was stressing out over the furniture arrangement before.. prolly should get Eugene and Sue-lee's advice on how to open up the space a little more. they're both super at these things.

anyway. i'm going for Run4theKids tmr. or rather in 2.5 hour's time. I bought new shoes today because my current pair became rather soulless after last night's bball game with the arrow boys + jonlee+ Joshpui (haha and the rachels who sat in the field to have their hearttohearttalk).

my first pair of asics. and they're actually for kids. haha. it was an impulse buy.. i just knew i needed to get a pair sooner or later because my adizeros have been with me a good 5 years. i didn't care too much about how they looked.. but hey, they were on sale (and my size) so i only got them for 50 bucks.

headed to grace's to keep her company as she cleaned up her apartment and talk about Toastbar and stayed for dinner. this girl is a domestic goddess man. she cooked up a meal in no time at all. and it was healthy and yummy. AND we had honey dew sago for desert. wth right why so skillful! love it! but arron still drove the bunch of us to Trotters for stickydate pudding anyway. heh. tonight was such a restful night. yeah. i came home and fell asleep while cleaning my room (which explains why i'm up at 5.11am cause i only woke up at 3.30am)
