to survive!
i was babysitting tash and nadine thursday (yesterday).
the moment we got home, tash brought me to see her toys. she couldn't stop talking. haha she made me realise that talking to kids can be QUITE tiring.
sam-ee had to do some stuff so i brought the two of them down for ice-cream/chips and played in the playground.
"wow hey the playground looks like a castle! you can be the princess!"i said.
"im the princess, and diney's the dog" tash explained to me while i supressed my laughter.
"ohh.. so tasha's the princess and diney you are..?"
"DOG!" nadine said excitedly. i couldn't keep from laughing. she's insanely adorable.
BUT it was boiling hot and they started wanting to go home. so i had to distract tash by asking her to take me to see the fish in the pond. so we headed there, but she suddenly stopped and told me that there would be crocodiles in the pond and that she was scared.
haha.. i had to come up with a story of how a truck came that morning with a huge tank of sharks which ate up the crocodiles. but i couldn't leave the sharks in the pond could i? so i told her that the sharks had to go back to the zoo. hahahha. oh dear. i think she's probably concluded that sharks are good guys.
we went round looking for shady spots so that we could play "jungle", and tash finally found a shady spot under the bridge at the playground. then i came up with yet another story of how tash was a princess and nadine was a kitten and their toy dog was.. a dog. so kitten and dog needed a magical fruit to save them from the poisonous biscuit from the evil witch. and the magical fruit could only be found at the top of the slide and we had to pass a yellow twirly climbing thing.
i explained that the yellow twirly thing was a snake and when we approach the snake, we have to be really really quiet, otherwise, the snake would wake up and it would "eat you! like that! SNAP!" i did a snapping action with my hands.
and i noticed nadine looking at me with her eyes wide open. and she went "eat me?" (omgoodness so cute!)
"yes!" i said, "so we have to be really quiet!"
after that, tash and i tried quite hard to explain to nadine what "pretend" meant because she became quite scared and wanted to go home.
"i will protect you ok?" i reassured her
"ok", she said and we started walking under the bridge (i was duck walking cause i was too tall)
"i want carry!" nadine went after two steps.
have you ever tried walking with your knees bent at a really uncomfortable height? try walking with a baby in your arms. i did. it became to tiring. so i told tasha that nadine was really heavy.
tash handed me her toy dog and offered to carry nadine but nadine refused because she was too scared of the snake.
SO. i did the next best thing - i became nadine's horse. hahaha.. good thing the area i had to crawl across wasn't that big, otherwise my knees would have been burnt. dude the ground was so hot! it was great fun though.
haha sam-ee laughed at me for saying that i wanna have kids. not eassyyy! mummy laughed at me too when i told her. owell. not like im gonna have any baby any time soon so i should just think about happy stuff. hahaha..

i went to ac today cause i was supposed to meet nick and he wanted to have lunch in school first so we ate there.. said hello to quite a few people. it was cca fair today. lol i remember cca fair last year, when sam chan was pointing out a certain girl to me. haha. and sam lee was thinking of not continuing guitar.
my whole point in bringing up ac again is because today's visit got me thinking a little. some asked me if i missed school. i miss some bits of it.. you know? but i think that's because i was in school for such a short time and my memories of it were pretty good. if i had stayed on longer, i dont think i would like it as much. IB stress aside, i think i would have found it difficult to adjust to the culture had i stayed on. looking back, i can't imagine myself in there.. or a jc. i'd very much like to go to poly where the culture is much more diverse. kinda like uni. teeheehee.. i can't wait for uni to start. well actually i can. i've been really busy this past week and the busyness is not gonna stop till i fly away. woohoo!
