we know what we dont want

what would you wish for if a genie were to grant you three wishes?

an iphone, a rich husband and two good children who will listen to everything i say.





muahahaha dont be nuts. just kidding.

oftentimes it's so much easier to identify what we dont want, than to identify what we want. the things we want usually require us to invest something of ourselves. do i want this relationship? how much of myself will i invest into it? i dont neeeeed it. i dont depend on it. i'll be ok without it. if you think about it, those could be good, healthy signs of independence and self-identity that has not been formed based on the relationship.

If i finish all my toastbar stuff tonight, i can take wednesday off. then i can think about what i want to leave behind and what fresh perspective i wanna take when i turn 21. not that i'll change overnight. and not that turning 21 will feel very different. it probably wont feel different at all. but i think it's just a good checkpoint opportunity.
