and more sweet surprises!

so yesterday, abby and i went to lygon street to check out the restaurants. we walked along all the italian food outlets and finally decided on having today's birthday dinner thingamajig at corettos.
why lygon? cause it was near home. and less crowded than in the city.

we came home and i cleared up myroom a little before dong called.
grabbed my sleepover stuffs and headed for south kensington in daryl's car with mandy (and dong and daryl)!

it was already 5 when dong and i headed out to run. that was probably the COLDEST weather i've EVER jogged in. dong was really thoughtful in bringing along a sweater in case i needed it though. (thanks dong!) :D i had stitches within the first 2 minutes so we slowed down a little before picking up speed. we weren't even halfway through when i felt like dying. but i didn't tell dong that of course. so we continued running for almost an hour and we even picked up pace!! best part? i managed to sprint for a bit at the end across the bridge!! :D that was one of the more satisfying runs i've had this year.

when i dong and i got home, we joined mandy and kyle's conversation. we were imagining ourselves all in the same school and what kinda cliques we'd be in. eddie and elisa mak were upstairs doing work and daryl was downstairs trying to sleep. we thought he was sleeping, but we later found out that he couldn't because dong's laughter was too much for daryl.. haha..

after i showered, daryl drove us (mandy,kyle, dong,me) to laksa king to ta bao dinner. we went to safeway to get chips for the movie, kyle got milk for the tim tam slams, and daryl and dong got flour and eggs. dong said they were gonna bake a cake for deborah whose birthday was that day itself. so fun right!

anyway, after dinner, (and a bit of math), we all settled down with blankets and sleeping bags and bean bags for the movie. daryl had borrowed the projector again!! :DDD haha we watched The Orphanage. it was a pretty good horror film. i screamed at one part (ONLY!!) and my throat became sore. yeah i know. loser right. my phone kept vibrating throughout the movie with all the birthday wishes coming in. so after the movie, i sat there replying my smses while the others went off to dunno where. then daryl came and asked if i was ok and if i needed water. haha.. my throat kinda needed it.

so we were talking, then daryl said he had sthg to show me so we went downstairs (cause his room and the garage are both on the 1st floor) then he covered my eyes and i realised that we were heading for the garage.mind you the whole house was dark (cause we watched the movie in the dark) flashes from The Orphanage came to my mind and i was like "NOOO.. I DON'T WANNA GO THERE!!"
but i still got pushed towards the garage anyway, then when he uncovered my eyes, all i saw was the light from candles on a cake!! the rest started singing.. OOOHH MAAANNN.. that was super sweeeeett.. it was a REALLY AWESOMELY SWEET SURPRISE!!

ok hang on.

i think i spoke too soon. cause as soon as the song ended, the lights flipped on and i got flour thrown at me and whipped cream sprayed into my hair and over my face!!
hahahahah!! i couldn't stop laughing. i think i kinda went mad for a bit.

haha.. man that was really GOOD FUN.

it was already way past midnight though, and none of us felt capable of eating anymore. we turned in at bout 3am.mandy me and shooks had the whole of the 2nd level to ourselves :D

in the middle of the night, i was woken up by a noise. i couldn't quite make out what that sound was, but it sounded like it was coming from where the 3 of us were sleeping.. and it sounded like a frog. half of me was freaking out, the other half was too tired to care.
me: maannndyyyy??
mandy: hmmm?
me: what's that sound?
*silence.*
me:is it a frog?
mandy: shooks (dunno what dunno what dunno what i couldn't hear)
some other things were said but i couldn't make out what went on so i went back to sleep.

i got to cut my second cake this morning! haha..
daryl: and you get to cut your cake!
me: yeah, the next day..
daryl: pretty cool huh, it's a marathon cake!!

hahaha.. oh hey! i havent mentioned the top the guys got me!
they got me a little miss bossy top!
and when i asked daryl why they got me little miss bossy,
all he had to do was point to her HUGE mouth.
HAHAHAHA.. it was so funny.. (refer to the picture of me trying to get my fist into my mouth)

yeah well anyway, daryl eddie and i headed back to the city to pick tracy and andy up before heading to church together this morning.

we went for lunch at a korean place after church, then daryl dropped me back at home.

the house was really quiet and lifeless and empty today.
dunno why. but anyway, lishan jolene and zelia (mainly lishan) made me look for my bdae pressie.
lishan couldn't stand my slowness. she just couldn't wait for me to find it. haha it was pretty funny. she went "it's so near yet so far!".
when i finally found it under my quilt, mannnn.. i was ecstatic. it was a beautiful green and blue fleece blanket!! my first and only :) hahaha..and the best part was when lishan told me that she had hid it there more than 24 hours ago when abby and i were down at lygon street! LOL!! ching called me to call her back so we talked for bout 40min.
then yeongshen came over later in the evening with a present too. (THAT really took me by surprise)

when it was near dinner time the 4 of us plus shen went to brunetti to collect the cake mummy ordered for me. (THANKS MOTHER!) we walked to corettos and had dinner there. the people at corettos were much nicer than i'd expected which was quite pleasing. there were about 19 of us and dinner amounted to over 200bucks (unsurprisingly).

the house 4 girls (including wynn and abby) got me a part 2 to my present. i shant reveal what the 2nd part is... but it drove me mad. i was literally speechless. the shape of the box looked so familiar, and i made a guess at what it was. funny thing was that even though i guessed that it was ********, 99% of me told me that my guess was wrong because i knew that they would never get me that.

oooohhh boy... when i removed the wrapping and saw that my guess was correct.. MAN! that truly stumped me.

we came back pretty early.. 8plus or 9 plus. we played sparklers too! thanks to jolene. jon took some pictures. k i'll post pictures up soon enough. when i get the luxury of time. right now i just have to catch up on my sleep! i'm glad i've got 99.9% of both my essays done :D
