Milestone


"We had a bunch of 34 people come through Toastbar for dinner tonight where we plated out green curry with rice and springrolls, dessert and drinks. A lovely evening that felt as though I was hosting guests in my own home - getting to know the people we cooked for. Never dreamt that I would manage a kitchen this way, but yknow what, we did it. Go team! ♥, elisa"
 
Yeap, we pulled it off. My day started at 10am with planning the day and preparing toastbar vouchers for the law students who were coming rhough for dinner tonight. but i spilt milo in the office so my plans to type up drink recipes had to be scrapped and before i knew it, it was 11am and i had to make cendol with kei. who would have expected these two guys to walk into toastbar soon after kei and  got to work in the kitchen, asking if Toastbar was open. i told them i could open for them and they were really good customers becuase they were responsive and took all their plates and cups back to the counter. which was really lovely.  
 
lunch with kei and erica was amazing too. it was just at big mama becuase erica and i had lots to work on in the kitchen. we did the 3 Rs. Respect, Remember and Restart. we took turns talking about who we respected and why, and also talking about things that make people happy.
 
admittedly, erica did all the curry cooking.
