Cheap's not always good.

i overheard a conversation between a resident and a lift maintenance guy today.
the resident was clearly annoyed that the newly installed lift was breaking down so often.

resident: why so horrible ah this lift? always spoil you know!
maintenance: *nods.
resident: made in china is it?
maintenance: *nods.
resident: what happen to the made in japan one? last time the fuj*tech one very good you know.

i was taken aback by the Made in China remark. it was almost funny, almost. but with China becoming/being a superpower.. we'd better watch our tongues and not be hasty in the things we say ey? though.. i suppose it can't be denied that some countries have had poorer quality reputations.
