monuments

people built altars and monuments to remember significant events.
i think smells, words and pictures help me remember them. and touch too actually.

maybe that's why i would really enjoy scrapbooking. it allows me to create, and translate my memories into picture/word form.. and not to mention - it's colourful too!

too bad it's an expensive hobby. if it weren't i would be getting ribbons and rivets and buttons and those pretty little decorative patterns.
