some say home sweet home
4days of helping out at the children's camp was really draining. i'm not sure i'll be up to anything like that next year. somehow being back at bmc feels like i need to get out of my comfort zone.
i didn't bring any clothes back with me, which mean i've got a very limited wardrobe - make that limited and old. i know im gonna sound liek a spoilt brat or sthg, but i do think that clothes you wear when you're 18 are quite different from what you'd wear when you're 15 eh? at least for a girl. i'm not too bothered though - but perhaps that's because as of now i have no plans of going out and meeting people. all the stuff i have in my cupboard's collected quite a bit of dust. gonna have to do a fair bit of laundry too.
funnily enough, i'm not in the mood to doing any shopping either. that's quite a good thing actually. i like it! haha. im not sure how long this nomoodtoshop feeling will last though.
things i'd like to do:
-wash my face every hour
- get a hair cut
- go for a swim
- read in a nice little cafe that few people know about.
- go to kong kong pohpoh's house. maybe i'll give the a call now and see if i can go over today :D
d's flown off to msia.
went to tampines mall with caleb yesterday. dunno why but i felt slightly overwhelmed. i reckon it's more because there were so many secondary school youngsters with dyed hair, skinny berms with polo tees and thongs, and thick coloured frames and the lot. and i remember thinking to myself "oh my goodness i hope my generation of singaporean kids/teens dont get complacent and rebellious and just live off the work of the previous generation." then i thought of my ahs friends.. actually hweekay popped into mind. haha. and i thought to myself "ok la, can. there are quite a lot of hardworking people."
as i type this, it all sounds really silly. categorizing people like that. im such a singaporean sometimes.
honestly i reckon that there's too much competition in singapore for there to be a lack of a sufficiently skilled workforce. BUT there may be a lack of good chicken rice stalls, or bak chor mee stalls, or hawker centres with really good singaporean cuisine. how now?
