we went around in our host groups today and my group was from everywhere! i was the only one from singapore. half of us were locals. a few of them were from mauritius. and guess what! they greet with the kissing thing too! ok i was supposed to be in another group but hilda and i couldn't find our groups so this other host pulled us into her group. i had quite a bit of fun today because the people in our group were great.
im tapping into uniwireless internet now and i'm just really really afraid that i'd be the only one stuck in this building. i don't even know what time this place closes. i think that might be why i can't think of the things i had wanted to blog about. because im just worrying about being trapped in this sidney myer asia centre. eeps. i'll get my internet done the next time i find reason to go to the city. i told dong that college square charges a DISCONNECTION fee for its internet and he got pretty agitated - what in the world is a disconnection fee! don't pay they just disconnect you luh right, seriously, CS is just eating my money like its free food.
gwenie and i were at hilda's apartment/room just now just hanging out for a bit. and gwen threw a huge ball of blue tack at my boob. HURRRRT! when i snatched it away she attacked me and we both ended up struggling on the floor - like how eddie and daryl were struggling on the floor when they were fighting over the water guns at tiff's place. it was hilarious but i WON! and she started hitting me! SO ABUSIVE RIGHT! omygoodness i find it simply amusing.
(oh this nice lady just told me that i can get out of the building anytime so i don't have to worry about being stuck here. woohoo! but i'll ave to leave before the sun sets otherwise it'd be wayyy too cold and too dark to feel safe carrying a laptop in my hand)
anyways, i chose my subjects on saturday and.. met up with jolene and chuphu! :D it was really great seeing the two of them again. especially jolene (for obvious reasons that she was my housemate). chups and i went to look her up in her milano apartment where she stays with her bro - really great place. way less expensive than at college square. and it's so much prettier! the three of us and stephen (jolene's bro) went back to palmerston to get jolene's teddy. it was so nostalgic taking that route back. house 4 looks very different now. it's a whole lot neater and cleaner than when jolene zelia shan abs and i were staying there. it's a lot emptier too. a bit too empty for my liking, but still good. i made two new friends there, both are doing trinity this year. daniel and ming wei i think.
i went to life ex on sunday. good to be back. mandy, kyle, vern chui gayle and i had lunch together at the chinese restaurant where dong always orders eel on fried rice with egg. that's how i identify the place - can't remember the names of the food places. they're all in chinese.
anyways, we all went to ikea after that. woohoo! i love ikea! i wanted to get two plastic cups - they were going at 50cents each! but i decided not to cause.. i found them difficult to wash and i like my stuff clean. so i just got a cutlery drainer. i'd wanted to get a flower pot to drain my forks and spoons but we couldn't find those with holes in the bases.
(eee. this sour looking security guy just walked past. he didn't even smile back.)
met dong for dinner after that. we went to lazzat cause i figured he'd be too tired from retreat to go very far.
anyway, i went for course advice yesterday morning (that's when i last blogged, because i was two hours early). it went ok. then dong met me back at cs afterwhich he took me to get my statement of liability and timetable printed. oh he swapped my classes around for me so that i'd not start school too early or end too late! :DDDDD (haha can you tell im very happy?) after we got my school stuff done, we went to mart 130 for brunch - more like late lunch actually. we had corn fritters with salmon on the side! YUUUUMM! we both agreed that the salmon pwned the corn fritters though (even though mart was supposedly known for its corn fritties).
i havent' started cooking yet. i might start by making sangers for lunch. but i havent got dishwashig liquid. i thought i left them at dong's place when i shifted my stuff, but then he couldn't find anything.
mm. orientation day 2 tmr. i've got quite a few sessions of things to attend. ttfn.
